Frequently asked questions
Why do my CMYK values look different from my printer's?
CMYK conversion from RGB is approximate — true print-accurate CMYK requires an ICC color profile for the specific paper and ink. Use these values as a starting point, not a final spec.
Are HSL and HSV the same thing?
Similar but not identical. Both use hue and saturation; HSL adds Lightness (white at 100%, black at 0%) while HSV adds Value (full color at 100%, black at 0%). HSL is more useful for picking text/background pairs.
